actually, the size of the page is normal. Digg has a CSS file that normally allows the page, when reduced in size, to display the content at this width. As the window is enlarged, the content also gets larger. I think the min and max widths are 900px and 1200px.
With my Droid, I charged it the first time out the box on Friday morning and the next time I had to charge it was Saturday Night...then I had to recharge it Sunday night. So I'm getting a steady 12+ hours out of my phone and normally on my phone, I'm surfing the web, facebooking and texting so that's actually not bad!Beats the hell out of my former G1...
