Do Americans (and lots of Europeans) seriously consume more than 3400 CALORIES A DAY?!Yeesh. That's... insane.
What I really love is how we subsidize the corn industry to provide high fructose corn syrup but then there is talk of taxing sodas? So we pay people to provide us with fattening, low nutrition foods and then pay even more to promote obesity? HUH? How about we create laws that demand our foods contain a certain level of nutritional value instead? How much nutrition comes from a can of Mountain Dew?

Why the hell is it all combat in the trailer? Wasn't one of the best parts of Trek that it was going out to explore the galaxy? We had a cowboy trying to scrape by and survive, then we had a diplomat trying to peacefully resolve whatever he can, then we had a long trip home against all odds. None of those were particularly notorious for epic space battles..
You would need a very sturdy spoon.!

I'm surprised they needed a study for this. About seven years ago I worked for a large pharmaceutical company and had the absolute boss from hell. I'm a programmer and she was a director who somehow got her job although she could scarcely add an attachment to an email. What's more, she *knew* she didn't know her ***** and therefore compensated by being a super bitch. The ***** she did was legendary.o I didn't see this one personally, but my direct manager told me about a meeting where she was stressing out a guy so much that his nose started to bleed right there!o Another worker in another department (we used to go to lunch all the time, so I knew him) used to be an amateur bodybuilder. He even showed us pics of him competing. He was transferred to her department. Within three months of working for her, he was on blood pressure medication for the first time in his life.o She once deducted money from a *salaried* employee for showing up late. When this same employee (the manager in the first bullet point) mentioned to her that during that same period there were two days that she worked over 14 hours, the bitch (and I *rarely* call women bitches, but she more than deserved it) responded, "But you're a salaried worker. You don't get paid overtime." (!!!)o The guy I was taking over for (who was extremely smart) landed up getting an ulcer working for her. There are more stories like this, but I'll cut it here. Long story short, I was fired after only six months because I actually challenged this bitch. It was the best thing that could have happened to me all things considered because it got to the point where I could feel the constant stress of the poisonous environment affecting me.?
Yup we need to stop burning the damn stuff and use it more wisely |

I voted for Obama and I am a Nascar fan. People who watch any kind of racing for wrecks is just in my opinion not real fans. I watch Nascar for the competition. You cant find any other major racing that offers that kind of competition vs entertainment. If you watch any other racing primarily F-1 you know who is going to win before the race is over. Sure it can be kinda like that in Nascar at times but its not every single race day in day out. With F-1 its primarily who can tune the computer the best. With Nascar its who can build the better car and drive the car better, have a better setup, mileage, etc who wins. I have a lot of complaints about how nascar has setup the chase and other minor things but when it comes to the actual racing there is no other sport like it. And yes its a sport. I don't understand what these people saying omg driving in circles is so easy to do. Look at the "road course ringers" If an oval track is immensely easier than road course racing then why are they not better at ovals as well? Shouldn't these road course racers come to ovals and dominate as well since its so much easier? Try sitting in a car for hours on end with a fire suit on when its hot as hell in the car. If you are not in shape your not going to be able to make it. Now a comment about the chart. That is not an accurate assessment of the overall Nascar fan. Sure there are some idiots who watch just for wrecks or whatever else but there are tons of football fans watching and waiting for people to get decapitated or baseball fans watching to see some one hopefully get hit in the nuts with a ball. Why do a lot of men watch women's tennis? my guess is the off chance of a nipple slip passing the censors. Whatever sport or entertainment you watch I am sure there are a lot of idiots who also watch it for reasons that go against why you watch it. A real race fan be it Nascar, F-1 or any other racing doesn't watch for wrecks. They watch for close competition. They watch to see Yes Athletes put themselves and their cars to the limits against equal or near equal rivals.
