Atario is so right. My father served in WWII and saw combat. He was injured and spent time in a hospital in France. Like so many people, he could have milked the government for his injury, but being the proud american he was, he never asked for anything. He never collected unemployment, disability or any other hand-out. My dad worked until the day he had a stroke 5 years ago - he was 80. My mother took care of him until she passed this last June. My father spent the last three months of his life in a nursing home. He passed two weeks ago. He had no possessions other than a car that he gave to his grandaughter.Here's the kicker. MEDICARE DID NOT PICK UP 1 CENT OF HIS NURSING HOME CARE. Not 1 cent. The only thing his country provided for him was a flag in his casket. That's it. We can provide illegal aliens with hospitalization, but will not give 1 penny to someone who served their country. WHAT"S the matter with this system?!
