In Canada, Telus and Bell are the two CDMA carriers, while Rogers is the only GSM carrier. Rogers has had the iPhone for a while now, and on Nov. 5th, Telus and Bell both got the iPhone.The only way we could get it, is by launching our own HSPA+ (3G.5) network in Canada. That is what Telus did, and a bunch of red tape to go through with apple to get it. However, it took a while and it's here now. I'm pretty sure that's what Verizon would have to do to get it.

@rev0lution:South Dakota doesn't have a state income tax, but they do have a state sales tax and natives pay state sales tax, as well as federal income tax. The Rosebud reservation also has its own health care, fire and police. Actually the state troopers are not allowed on the Rosebud, except to transport prisoners, etc. But Feds do have jurisdiction, so sometimes the FBI or US Marshalls accompany local tribal police on drug raids, etc. The Lakota on the Rosebud do not get the quarterly checks that you are talking about. The tribes don't have as much money out here.

The movie industry like the music industry has totally disconnected with how the fans are doing things these days. Any movie I download, I would probably have NEVER paid to go see it, or even buy it on DVD. Sometimes if I like something enough, I will get a real copy or pay to see it in a theater for the full experience.But greed knows no boundaries. Yes they might be losing a little bit because of piracy, but only because now we are not forced to pay for DVDs as we used to be. Until they decide that there is a level of "good enough" in their profit margin they will always bitch about how BitTorrent and the Internet stole their prom date.Glad to see Indie filmmakers are greeting technology with open arms though, they actually see the potential.

@nutsackninja- I guess we need to agree on whether prison should be for punishment or rehabilitation first. For crimes that don't warrant life sentences, locking someone away for 10 years and then saying "Ok, you're punishment is over" and letting them go doesn't exactly turn them into productive citizens. They'll probably commit another crime.
