Eve online has some of the slickest graphics going in an MMO. And with the Dominion update Dec. 1st, it's going to look even more amazing.Though it's not a particularly fast-paced game, it is steady and even with a very distant "end-game" which is what an MMO should be.Even with all that, Eve isn't everyone's cup of tea, for sure.
This is stupid and proven true, as evidenced by the whole "mind over matter" adage. I love Digg, but it seems like every ***** day we're curing cancer, repeating facts, or promoting pseudoscience.

Looking at the pics, it appears to be a simple IR-based nightvision system, and not the more expensive light amplification-based ones. Still cool though, looks neato.FYI: You can build one of those very easily and for pretty cheap. Get a cheapo webcam or old camcorder...preferably one that's only black and white or has a black and white mode. Then get some of the biggest, brightest IR LED's you can find, build a power supply, and make an array out of them. Best way to do it is similar to the pic, a ring of them around the camera lens with a reflector of some sort. Turn on the LED's and put the camera in the dark, and there ya' go. It's basically a huge IR flashlight that only the camera can see. Nice quick project for a Science Fair in HS (do they still do those?) or a college electronics course..
awesome pictures but does anyone else feel a sense of fear from the vastness of the ocean?!

While we may be centuries away from "replicating" organic objects, such as food, it's easy to see where this technology could go with the non-organic material. Very intriguing.

and on the opposite end of the scale, I really enjoyed Twilight Princess, and very much disliked OoT and Wind Waker.Would I have given TwilightPrincess a 10? Not overall. The final sequence of battles was definitely a 10 for me. |
